Zeke Stokes in warm water
According to Jason Spencer at the SHJ, Democratic operative Zeke Stokes could be in some “warm water” for sending out some Jim Rex campaign emails to state employees.
We say “warm water” because this certainly isn’t “hot water.” “Hot water” is what Kevin Geddings found himself in. This is pretty minor stuff.
Spencer asks if its “ethics or politics?” What a stupid question.
Spencer also notes that Rick Beltram was a Floyd supporter. He fails to mention that Beltram was on the Floyd payroll at one time. Here’s the article.
E-mail issue dogs Democratic politico

The former manager of state Education Superintendent Jim Rex’s campaign and top Democratic operative may be the focus of a S.C. Ethics Commission hearing scheduled for next month.
The hearing, which Spartanburg Republican Party Chairman Rick Beltram says stems from a complaint he filed last fall, will focus on the source of campaign e-mails sent on Rex’s behalf to thousands of teachers during his successful bid for office in November.
After an initial investigation, the Ethics Commission exonerated Rex, former Education Superintendent Inez Tenenbaum and Spartanburg School District 3 Superintendent Jim Ray.
But Zeke Stokes, who ran Rex’s campaign, is mentioned numerous times in the fact-finding portions of the orders clearing the others involved. And those documents cast Stokes as acting with complete autonomy, collecting endorsement letters from Ray and Tenenbaum and having them distributed on the Internet without Rex’s knowledge.
