Senate passes tough immigration bill

Good Senators pass good bill.
Kudos to the South Carolina State Senate for passing an immigration reform bill today that truly cracks down on illegal immigration in South Carolina. Their bill makes all businesses across the state verify the legal status of their employees. A press release from the Senate Republican Caucus states:
The Senate “rejects the House’s ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy, restored stronger penalties, and will require that all businesses verify the legal immigration status of new hires,” says Senator Ritchie. “We have been working on true illegal immigration
reform for over a year and today’s action builds effective, comprehensive reforms with real strength.”
The Chamber folks won’t be happy and for good reason. They believe that this bill could create a mass exodus of immigrants from SC which could have a devastating effect on our economy. In all truthfulness, it could, some industry will suffer, and that really sucks.
But illegal immigration is a crime and these criminals are driving up our state’s health care and education costs. Its high time they stop living off our dime. With every good piece of legislation comes some bad and that’s something we are going to have to deal with.
So, who is the real political winner in this debate? That will be Governor Mark Sanford.
You see, in passing this piece of legislation the Senate one-ups the House. We give it about 1 hour before the House shoots back a press release accusing the Senate of not acting fast enough (despite the fact that the Senate passed immigration reform last year). Anyway, this bill will go to conference committee where debate will continue for a few days. All the while Governor Sanford will sit atop his pedestal and say “look at those good ole’ boys fighting again. I’m trying to bring about change while all they do is fight and play politics.” Forget the fact that our legislators are doing a damn fine job of debating this bill and coming up with a real solution. In the end, Sanford will spin a good debate into a hefty dose of stalled government rhetoric.

An immigration advocacy group called “Civil Society Helps” and attorney Martha J Sullivan help perpetuate fraud against U.S. citizens. See http://www.marthasullivanlaw.com for more information about the immigration fraud these kind of groups help facilitate.
With false accusations from an immigrant residency seeker, a stable American citizen can be reduced to living in poverty. All of your assets can be seized and given to the residency seeker even if you are not found guilty. You will immediately be forced to surrender a portion of your income to the residency seeker. The courts may order you to turn your motor vehicle over to the residency seeker even if the car is in your name and the residency seeker does not have a drivers license. Your immigrant spouse becomes legal and you become illegal. The court system will abuse you and strip you of your rights while social programs that promote immigration fraud thrive.

Groups that help facilitate immigration fraud should also be held accountable. These groups acquire government funds to help perpetuate immigration fraud.

There are too many people in SC. Sure, more people = larger GDP, but what about quality of living? Also too what about the value of a shared common culture and heritage?

Senator Richie should be congratulated on doing his “homework” on this issue, by listening to the citizens around South Carolina and authoring a good bill.

My thanks to all of you in the Senate, Governor Sanford, and House Representatives that supported and passed a strong Immigration Bill. It appears that our fearless leaders in Washington (with the exception of Senator Demint and a few others)are not going to do anything about us being overran with illegal aliens unless enough State an Local Governments force them to take action.
Thank You Again

This illegal alien bill has no teeth to it . It dosent go after the private employer who hires most of them . Plus the fact this new law will never be enforced . Just go to any Wal-Mart on the first of the mouth when these illegal aliens get their food stamps . Paid for by all of us . We havent even joined with the rest of this country in passing the REAL ID ACT . This is just politcal spin and a joke to say the least .
