Romney, Clinton lead in SC
In their last rankings, The National Journal Group said that Governor Mitt Romney is “in real trouble in South Carolina.”
Well, not according to Whit Ayers, who’s new poll puts Romney in a dead heat with Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Senator John McCain. Former Senator Fred Thompson continues his downward spiral.
On the Dem side, Clinton is killing. It’s bad news for Obama, but for Edwards, its means game over.

Rudy Giuliani - 19%

Fred Thompson - 13%
Mike Huckabee - 8%
Ron Paul - 3%
Duncan Hunter - 1%

Hillary Clinton - 40%
Barack Obama - 21%

I don’t think this is an outlier. It’s in line with other polls and the Real Clear Politics Poll Average.

While numbers are certainly subject to MOE, I think anybody with an once of polling knowledge would consider this race a statistical dead heat.

I sure do see a lot of Ron Paul bumper stickers and yard signs…. way more than 3%. How are they gonna fix the vote this time??
