Palmetto Scoop on “Racist” Buddy Witherspoon
We don’t link to Palmetto Scoop a lot.
Why? Well, you know. It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out.
They feel the same way about us, so whatever…
Yes, we are all a bunch of men who act like teenage girls fighting over the same guy for the prom. Maybe one day we will grow up. Or just stop taking some many expresso and bourbon shots in the middle of the day.
But every once in a blue moon, when they aren’t trying to dig up dirt on us, they actually put up something good on their little site…which by the way is absolutely run by Rick Quinn…just in case you didn’t know.
Anyway, back to this whole linking to Palmetto Scoop thing. We were going to write a post today about Buddy Witherspoon and his potentially racist bid for the US Senate, but Palmetto Scoop beat us to the punch. And since no one is paying attention to the McCain campaign right now, we know these guys need some lovin’, so we are sending you their way.
So check out The Scoop’s piece on Buddy Witherspoon. Come back here later and we will tell you why we support Lindsey Graham’s re-election to the US Senate.

Good luck. I’m dying to know why Grahamnesty is a good thing. Right. In what parallel universe does South Carolina go for this stuff?

The Republican smears have begun already.
I am ashamed to be a republican.

The Council of Conservative Citizens, an obviously racist group, is strongly supporting Witherspoon. Seems like the ‘former’ member Witherspoon still has lots of friends in the ‘Council.’

so the choice is a racist or a biggot?

Graham must be desperate to avoid a true challenge so the smears are already beginning. Dr. Witherspoon is no racist and his only ‘controversial’ position was his opposition to the removal of the Confederate flag from the Dome. Lindsey better come up with better than that.

If you don’t like Witherspoon, and I’d love to know why, you can always back no one. Why on Earth would you back Graham? Are his approval ratings still above 30%? And he has ties to La Raza, the Latino racist organisation that wants the Southwest to secede from the US. That’s got to be worse than CofCC.
And of course the CofCC would like Witherspoon - he’s a conservative and Graham an extreme liberal. Their support of Witherspoon doesn’t mean Witherspoon supports them.
Someone finally stood up, and y’all shoot him down.
Answer me this: even if SC voters will forget Graham’s voting record, won’t that speech of his be broadcast throughout the state? I realise Graham has money and the support of elected officials, but I can’t see how he can surmount his traitorous past. I guess the only way would be to run against an even scarier opponent, and perhaps that’s why Witherspoon is being made into a racist. Y’all must have a dang good reason for backing Graham though, because I know deep down y’all detest him and would send him packing if you could.
I’m waiting for The Shot to break the news that Graham is gay. Somehow being tied to La Raza isn’t significant, but Graham’s being gay would destroy his campaign.

This is just one more thing to show that Graham and his close people are becoming LIBERAL Dem. If you can’t take on someone on there positions then call them a racist. He had better hope that we get out and work to put John McCain in the White House because he is going to need a job.

Well, I can tell you, unless Mike Huckabee is on the ticket as McCain’s vp running mate, you won’t see many people knocking on doors, making gotv calls, etc. We may vote for McCain, but many won’t without Huck on the ticket, but we aren’t excited or energized about it. Put Mike Huckabee on the ticket, and you’ll see a big change in people’s coming together and getting excited. McCain/Huckabee…a winning combination!!!!

Shot + Palmetto scoop = Good Republicans, but not necessarily conservatives. I will vote for Buddy. And if he loses to Graham which I fully expect, I will not vote for any candidate for senate. Graham can vote for amnesty if he wants but it will be on the strength of other South Carolinians returning him to Washington. I will no longer carry water for any politician who pretends to be a conservative during an election cycle but behaves as a liberal for the balance of his term.

LMAO!!!
There is a Lindsay Graham advertisment at the top of the Scoop’s page. Too crystal.
