Oh Hell, Jessica Biel at the State House…

…this can’t be good.
Those upstanding gents at the State House will be excited to hear that smokin’ hot actress Jessica Biel is co-starring in a new film shot at the State House. According to the Post and Courier, Biel plays “an uninsured small-town receptionist who goes on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the ‘bizarrely injured.’” The SC State House will play the role of the US Capitol Building. Since Biel “goes on a crusade to Washington” and the State House is the Capitol, we can only assume that means Biel is coming to the State House.
Once again…oh Hell.
No wonder Ole’ Bobby was pushing so hard last week for SC’s film industry.
The state’s second major feature movie this year will begin filming soon in the Midlands. It’s a political satire in which the Statehouse doubles as the U.S. Capitol building and actor Jake Gyllenhaal plays an immoral congressman.
“Nailed” will shoot in Richland and Lexington counties. Actress Jessica Biel co-stars as an uninsured small-town receptionist who goes on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the “bizarrely injured.” Her character meets up with the congressman.
The announcement came Monday from the S.C. Department of Commerce and the state Film Commission, which said South Carolina was chosen for a number of reasons. Among them is that Persistent Entertainment, one of the film’s producers, previously worked with the commission on a project filmed in York, Chester and Kershaw counties.
It also comes as some lawmakers want to change the industry incentives to give the state more filmmaking star power, a role at odds with the Commerce Department and the Governor’s Office.
Note to directors: you may want to cut out the confederate flag. If probably wouldn’t fit well on the Capitol grounds.
