Mike Forrester Launches Campaign Website
Uses Blog to Communicate Directly with Voters

(Spartanburg, SC)-Today, State House District 34 candidate Mike Forrester announced the official launch of his new campaign website www.forresterforhouse.com <http://www.forresterforhouse.com/> . The website is interactive and will feature a regularly updated blog highlighting his ideas for addressing the issues facing the Upstate. “Most politicians will tell you about the problems our state is struggling with, but I think it’s time to start talking about the solutions to these problems” said Forrester.

The website already features sections called“5 Good Ideas” and the “Solutions Center”. These sections include Forrester’s ideas for solving problems like unemployment, rising healthcare costs, illegal immigration, and crime. Forrester plans on releasing even more detailed policy ideas on his blog throughout the campaign. “I jumped in this race to put forth real policy to the big challenges facing our state” said Forrester.

Forrester also hopes the website will lead to increased interaction with voters. He wants people visiting the website to share their own ideas for solving the state’s problems. “Anybody claiming to have all the answers is being less than honest. The most important part of being a member of the State House is listening to the concerns and ideas of your constituents and taking those ideas to Columbia” said Forrester. “Spartanburg County is filled with plenty of bright minds working in nearly every sector of commerce, industry, and government. I’m certain there is a lot to be learned by taking the time to listen to these people.”

The website will also include web videos and pictures from the campaign trail using technology developed by YouTube and Flickr. “I want voters to get to know me and feel comfortable approaching me with their concerns. I even put my home phone number and personal e-mail address so voters can contact me to ask questions and share their thoughts” said Forrester. “If you want to serve, you must be accessible to voters.”
