McMaster talks bill to death

Parole bill stuck in subcommittee because McMaster wouldn’t shut up.

It seems that Henry McMaster is so busy grandstanding and running for Governor that he is accidentally killing his own bills in House subcommittees. At least that’s what happened yesterday.

Two days ago we received an “Action Alert” from McMaster asking us to call the members of the Criminal Laws subcommittee and urge them to vote for H4309 – the plan to abolish parole in South Carolina.

Audience members tell us that the subcommittee was prepared to vote favorably on the bill and pass it out to full committee. However, McMaster, practically announcing for Governor during the hearing, talked for over 90 minutes. The time allotted for debate ran out and the subcommittee no longer had a quorum. The bill is now stuck in subcommittee.

So, next time Henry McMaster sends out an Action Alert asking you to call members of the SC House of Representatives, call him at 803-734-3970 and tell him to shut up and let the bill pass. Why you have him on the phone, ask him why he couldn’t convict that dungeon rapist.

McMaster would do anything for a vote.

He is the lowest form of politician…and I think the peeps of SC know this. They will elect him AG, but never Governor.

I agree with the comments above and wouldnot support him for governor unless the only other choice was Sneaker Harrell. Hopefully some else that’s “honorable” will “rise up” and run for Governor of SC. Heaven help us if these are our only choices.
