Not only is Wingate a talented individual who will restore trust in state government, but Sanford has temporarily elevated himself above the Ryberg-Quinn fray. On another note, Senator Ryberg's name has been tossed around as one of the handful of serious challengers to Lindsey Graham in the 2008 Republican primary. If Ryberg is tied down with the state Treasurer's position, what credible challengers are left? Beasley? Governor Sanford’s decision is brilliant.
