Jim Ritchie sends statewide mailer

Today we received a little post card from Spartanburg based State Senator Jim Ritchie about his “Illegal Immigration Reform Study Committee.”

The postcard that has no disclaimer explains State Senator Jim Ritchie’s fight for immigration reform as Chairman of the Immigration Committee. It also advertises www.americanamendment.com which has no disclaimer.

“A Message for Senator Jim Ritchie” with a picture. But why are we receiving it?

John Courson is our Senator.

And the events it advertises are in North Charleston and Pendelton. We live in Columbia.

The address label is coded “P1.” In the campaign line of business, a P1 is someone who is actively involved in campaigns and attends their precinct meeting.

So that begs the question – why is Jim Ritchie targeting Republican activists?

Could it be because Senator Ritchie is running for Governor?

And why isn’t he disclosing who paid for this mailer? So many questions…

We will scan it in and get it to you on Monday morning.

(UPDATE) - We have learned that Senator Ritchie does not legally need to put a disclaimer on this type political mail.

The United States can not stand 50 more years of progress as the last 50 years with out siders taking our land and States. We have lost California, Florida, Texas, and a large % of other states. I like one language our English language, why give into the outsider taking over our culture and forceing the United States to learn his language and culture. The ones here should adjust to our culture and language and all borders closed.
