Intercourse with a child under 10 years old?
Congressional hopeful’s husband indicted for sexually assaulting child.
Yesterday, Van Jenerette, former candidate for Congress and husband of current Congressional candidate Katherine Jenerette, has been charged with sexually assaulting a child under 10 years old. The weird part is that the charges stem from assaults in 1972.
According to Jenerette’s stepdaughter, she was sexually assaulted from the time she was five until she was twenty years old.

They charged him for these assaults because they had a date, location and witness. Those are very difficult things for child victims to provide.

It’s one thing for a child victim to not disclose this, but if they had a 3rd party who was a witness, why did this person wait so long? If you were the witness, would you be quiet this long?
I’d say this was a political hit-job, but since her candidacy has less chances than a snowball in hell, this case can’t possibly have political motives.
Either way, where does this have any bearing on Katherine? I say leave her alone - the ass-cutting she’ll get from Henry Brown will be embarassing enough come June.
