Desperate McCain using Ravenel indictment against opponents
The McCain camp has become so desperate in South Carolina that they are working hard to wrap Thomas Ravenel around their opponent’s necks.
The Beaufort Gazette points out that in an attempt to hurt Rudy Giuliani “ by 5:27 p.m. Adam Temple, McCain’s South Carolina press secretary had e-mailed a copy of the story to media throughout the Palmetto State. But even with this news McCain will need serious help in South Carolina”
Adam Temple and BJ Boling (McCain’ SC Communications Director) have pushed the issue on their blog since it broke. Now Adam Temple is taking shots at his former boss,Senator Jim DeMint, for taking Ravenel’s endorsement in the 2004 Republican Primary.
UPDATE: It should be noted that the endorsement occurred over one year before Ravenel got heavily involved with drugs according to the indictment. Ravenel certianly had recently been rumored to be abusing cocaine and alcohol, but those rumors had not surfaced during the 2004 Senate race.

This is sickening. McCain’s political hacks should be ashamed for trying to exact political gain from one man’s personal tragedy.
