Consultant Roundup – Starboard Style

RINO hunters come together!
Once upon a time (2002) in a land far, far away (Lexington, SC) Starboard Communications had to close up shop and leave town as news trucks filled the parking lot.
Why?
Because when running Bob Peeler’s gubernatorial campaign they started a 3rd party group to attack Mark Sanford. Sanford cried foul and Kevin Hall served legal papers on Starboard. Starboard suffered no real legal consequences. It was basically just a Sanford campaign stunt.
We aren’t hating on our buddies over at Starboard. We give them props for their creativity. However, we do think its funny that after all that crying about 3rd party attack groups, Sanford now controls three or four of them and Starboard is running all their backed candidates. Its funny how time changes things, and people.
Anyway, with all the money once again flowing into South Carolina, Starboard is getting pretty busy and staffing up on their RINO hunters. RINO’s beware because BJ Boling, Mike Green, and Josh Gross have teamed up and are coming after you.
We’ve also heard that Starboard has hired Marion Frye’s daughter Daleta Frye. Where did we hear that name before? Oh, that’s right. The “Core Council.” It’s seems that those investigative journalists over at the Free Times were right with their little Hit List article and the Core Council is coming together under Starboard’s roof.
This will be a fun political season. Oh yeah baby

Really – Frye’s left SCRG? Well, is Folks going to get hired by Starboard, or just do “black ops” from his house?

[...] It’s so easy to make fun of Randy Page and South Carolinians for Responsible Government. There’s the bit about how SCRG is yet another one of Howard Rich’s playthings, or how an SCRG person paid some college kids to put the little pink piggies in Rep. Bill Cotty’s district. There’s also the lies that Brynley Weigle put on mailers for them during the last round of GOP legislative primaries. Of course, she’s at Starboard these days, and you know what’s up with those cats.
