Just setting the facts straight, Sandlapper is not involved in the Senate 12 race.

I heard that Mike Rose was using Wayne Adams, who had run his races in the past, but had pretty much gone into regular ol’ public relations work.

Hasn’t Ceips ran with Starboard in the past?
April 11th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
Rob W. - Ceips’ first campaign was run by Crescent Creative, which was a consulting partnership of Terry Sullivan, Heath Thompson, and Walter Whetsell.
Spike - Mike Rose’s disclosure form shows Cahaly.
Taft - sorry buddy, but we don’t believe you. Lee Bright is telling people he is using you guys, so you may want to address this issue with him. But, you’re not Brooks Brothers either…or you?

In what is a HUGE surprise, we have learned that Mike Fair has kicked the Quinns to the curb and picked up Starboard.
We have also learned that Starboard is running Tom Davis’ campaign, further showing that Starboard is doing every SCRG backed race.

Did I see Rick Jr. applying for food stamps the other day? Just kidding - I’m sure they’ll make an ass of money off Lindsey.
Shot - that was for consulting and not just signs? Cahaly sells signs to lots of people, and usually for a pretty good price. If so, at least the mail will look good.
But making Mike Rose’s mail look good is like lipstick on a pig. No matter how much one tries, it just loses something.
As for Starboard doing the Kool-Aid Kandidates … no surprise there. That’s what they did last time.

If he is doing mail for Mike Rose, then he is in some part handling strategy. You dont just take a picture of someone and slap it on a postcard. You read polls, find out what the issues are, frame a message, and send mail.
The “he’s just doing mail” excuse doesn’t work.

Bill McKown has not hired me to work for him this year, but I hope he wins his State Senate race. My hands are full with the Buddy Witherspoon for U.S. Senate campaign.

If he’s doing mail, you’re right, he’s calling shots.
If he’s supplying signs, he’s not.
Either way, it’s academic. Nobody wants Mike Rose back in Columbia.
It’s funny seeing how much Rose used to be one of the biggest roadblockers of restructuring in the Campbell days, and now he’s kissing up to the Governor’s people for their help.
Randy Scott may be the Dale Gribble of the Senate, but at least he isn’t a pompous ass like Rose was and is.
A lot of Republicans will probably remember the lead role Rose played as one of the few Republicans who supported Democrat Phil Leventis against Andre for Lt Guv back in ‘02.

Spike - you’re right.

Starboard’s doing Bright’s mail, last time I heard.

Just so you can fill in your blank… I’ve been running Shane Martin’s campaign.
